About Us   Mission & Values   Structure & Partners	About Us COMNET Foundation for Information and Communication Technology Development is an independent foundation created to promote collaboration and technology transfer among Commonwealth member states. Set up in late 1995 as COMNET-IT, the Commonwealth Network of Information Technology for Development, was a joint initiative sponsored by the Commonwealth Secretariat and the Governments of Malta, with the ongoing support of the Government of India.     COMNET supports countries in implementing, managing and using new information and communications technologies. We do this by facilitating the brokering and funding of national ICT-related projects, sourcing experts to provide consultancy to national administrations, and by running regular training workshops. We are active also in the three major, ongoing international, multi-agency projects.
